Indegestion / heartburn is something I have never thought about for the last 10 years!

Take medication as prescribed and it will work it did for me.

I had been suffering from heartburn and indigestion for years and was constantly buying Rennies and other such medicine. My daughter, whilst pregnant, started suffering similar issues and was prescribed Omeprazole by her doctor - and the symptoms disappeared immediately. On her recommendation I went to my doctor and was prescribed Omeprazole - i've not looked back since. As the doctor said - "they do exactly was it says on the tin - I wish all medicines were as good as this".

This medication worked for about two uears but the longer you use this it then becomes less effective

Omeprazole is used to treat certain stomach and esophagus problems (such as acid reflux, ulcers). It works by decreasing the amount of acid your stomach makes. It relieves symptoms such as heartburn, difficulty swallowing, and persistent cough. This medication helps heal acid damage to the stomach and esophagus, helps prevent ulcers, and may help prevent cancer of the esophagus. Omeprazole belongs to a class of drugs known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).
